The Odia Boy Working with ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’

The political drama ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’, based on the book by Sanjaya Baru, has a link with Odisha as an Odia guy is working in it. The film, which features Anupam Kher in the lead role, traces the character of the former Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh. In such films which are based on real story always need a strong hand to bring resemblance in ambiance. And that work is being done by an Odia Asutosh Ankit Patnaik of Bhubaneswar being the art director of the film. Schooled in Chandrasekharpur DAV Ankit has taken the skill from his mother who is a painter and interior designer as well. Ankit aka Tumpu as his mother Bidyutnalini Patnaik calls him, is passionate about creation from his early childhood being grown up in a creative environment. Ever since the first poster of the movie, the resemblance between the veteran actor Anupam Kher and the former PM has become a talking point. The movie is directed by debutant Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, along with Hansal Mehta as the creative producer and Akshaye Khanna as Sanjaya Baru, the former media advisor to the PM. The script is written by India’s official Oscar’s entry, Newton fame Mayank Tewari’. The Accidental Prime Minister’, produced by Bohra Bros, is to be released on December 21, 2018.
