Odisha Govt Extends Last Date For Applying For +2 Courses Till Sept 11

Bhubaneswar : The Odisha Government today extended the last date for applying online for admissions to +2 courses by another seven days till September 11 in view of floods in the State.

This was informed by School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash.

Earlier, the last date for applying online for admissions to +2 courses in the State was fixed as September 4.

The Minister has further informed that Delhi University has extended the last date for uploading mark sheet for admissions to its Under Graduate (UG) courses by another seven days to facilitate students from Odisha seeking admission to the University’s UG courses.

Dash had written a letter to Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on Friday requesting him to be kind enough to intervene in the matter and instruct the Delhi University for extension of the last date for submission of the Higher Secondary mark sheet from August 31 by one week to September 7.

The Odisha Minister had stated that due to Covid-19 pandemic in spite of all the sincere efforts by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, the result of the Arts stream (12th class) could not be published.

In the letter, Dash had assured the Union Minister that the result of the +2 Arts stream will be declared by the first week of September 2020.
