Odisha CM Asks Officials To Focus On 5 Districts To Contain Situation

Bhubaneswar : Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today asked officials to focus on the five districts of Ganjam, Cuttack, Jajpur, Sundargarh, and Khordha to contain the situation arising out of the COVID-19 outbreak on a priority basis.

Chairing a high-level meeting on containing COVID, Patnaik advised officials to strengthen monitoring system in these districts.

The Chief Minister laid special emphasis on facilities to COVID patients and their safety.
Patnaik advised district observers to remain in regular touch with COVID warriors who in the frontline in the war against COVID to keep their morale high.

Worth mentioning, the Chief Minister himself daily speaks to COVID warriors of different districts.

Patnaik stressed on the deployment of more technicians and ambulances for tests.

Similarly, he advised for honourable disposal of bodies of deceased COVID patients.

The Chief Minister also laid stress on the provision of regular training on other subjects and good food to COVID warriors.

Since as per the decision of the State Government asymptomatic COVID-19 patients will be allowed to undergo treatment while staying in their homes and corporates will be allowed to start COVID Care Centres. Therefore, in addition to suitable monitoring of their management, the Chief Minister directed for bringing them under Mo Sarkar.

At the outset, Patnaik spoke to COVID Observers of different districts and enquired about COVID situation, treatment facilities, testing, and community coordination.
