‘Agyanmala’ To Be Brought To Three Chariots Today

Puri: Members of the Puri Jagannath Temple Managing Committee had informed that the rituals in the 12th-century shrine may get disrupted if the chariots of the Holy Trinity are not pulled after the customary ‘Agyan Mala’ niti.

After ‘Sakala Dhoopa’ the ‘Agyanmala’ will be taken to the three chariots.

Chhatisa Nijog said the State government should make all efforts for the conduct of the annual Ratha Jatra. If possible, the State government could bring an ordinance to conduct the annual fete.

Meanwhile, the Daitapati Nijog requested the state government to conduct the Rath Yatra in accordance with the tradition of the Jagannath temple.

Nijog secretary Durga Prasd Dasmahapatra requested the government to allow the conduct of the Yatra with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.
